My name is Susan Grant, and I’m a lifelong entrepreneur based in New York City. Throughout my career in the diamond and fine jewelry industry, I’ve had the privilege of founding S & G Star Corp, a wholesale diamond trading company, and Grants Jewelry, a custom fine jewelry store. While my roles have evolved over the years, I now focus on networking and business development. I collaborate closely with a small but talented team that oversees every aspect of our operations—from design and creation to customer service.
This is my third year as a member of BDPros. Although the group is primarily focused on the construction industry, I find its principles highly relevant to my business. Fine jewelry, like construction, requires a meticulous attention to detail and craftsmanship. IBDPros provides an invaluable opportunity to connect with others and showcase my trade effectively.
I live in NYC and spend my weekends by the lake in Connecticut with my wonderful husband and our beloved fur babies.

Determination and a commitment to lifelong learning have been key to my success. I stay engaged and curious, always seeking to adapt and grow, knowing the world is constantly evolving. Building strong relationships has also been essential. My passion for connecting with others has opened many doors, and I strive to always offer value in every interaction.
- Give advice to those starting their careers in Business Development
Invest time in nurturing relationships and always look for ways to contribute meaningfully. Networking is more than just transactions—it’s about building trust and fostering genuine connections. Get out there as much as possible and don’t expect to win every time. There are moments when not winning is actually the best opportunity to learn and grow.

My passion is to continue living a fulfilling life while making a positive impact on those around me. In my work, I find joy in creating beautiful, meaningful jewelry that resonates with my clients. Whether it’s crafting custom engagement rings, designing wedding bands, or creating unique pieces for special occasions, I take pride in bringing my clients’ visions to life.

I’m continuously involved in a wide range of projects—from bespoke jewelry designs to sourcing high-quality diamonds for wholesale clients. We also specialize in jewelry restoration and repairs, ensuring that cherished pieces are preserved for generations to come. Every project presents a new challenge, and I’m always excited by the opportunity to create something that celebrates life’s special moments.
