- My grandfather started the business in 1976 combining his passion of art with the natural world, and ever since I was 9, during summers, on school breaks, days off, I would always help my dad and grandfather on installations or in the office/shop. 6 Months before COVID, I moved back from Boston to help grow the business and get emersed in something I am truly passionate about; helping make spaces beautiful.
- List some factors that contribute to your success.
- I am a service oriented person and always have been, so I truly am able to work WITH my partners and clients, so they are able to truly get a family-like experience
- I truly care about who I work with and their spaces. I take immense pride in all work I do for my clients, whether that is (1) small plant or flower, all the way to a full new build out and larger scale projects. Every project is unique, every ask by the customer is processed and reviewed to come up with a solution that is truly the best fit.
- I am just starting my career in the industry, and I plan on being around for at least the next 30-40+ years. I truly want to build long lasting relationships that become friendships, I want to work with people who I know and like and I am sure people want the same from me, so whynot make a fun relationship together!
- Give advice to those starting their careers in Business Development
- Be Genuine and don’t overstress about the ROI. Networking and BD is tough. It takes time, relationships do not form overnight, but the more you work at them, the more they will grow and stronger they will become; however, that only happens when you are truly genuine. Instead of looking at the person across from you as a dollar sign or someone who can help you, view them as a possible new friend. Connections, business and ROI will come, but it is all about how you initially build that foundation of the relationship that is the most important.
- What is your passion?
- Fitness. I truly do believe in living a healthy lifestyle so you can keep your body and mind sharp. Also, it is always a consistent work in progress that always keeps me on my toes and challenges me.
- Other than fitness, I truly have a passion for helping others and working through challenges. I love puzzles and games, so if I can help myself or someone I care about through it, I truly love it.
- Lastly, my passion is my family. I love being around my family, working with my family and spending time with them. Every day is truly a blessing being able to work side by side with my grandfather (who comes in everyday at 83 years young) and my father. It truly is an amazing experience being such a tight knit family and being able to share that feeling with everyone we work with and meet with.
- Please tell us about the range and type of projects you are involved in.
- For us it is not about the size of the project but about the people and type of project. We want to make sure we are truly the right fit for the individual project, as that is the only way a true win-win scenario is generated. With that being said, we are able to help with any green design/biophilic design needs. That can be as small as 1 plant/flower, a large scale moss wall or living wall, ongoing plant maintenance, or even helping design your entire office to be WELL certified (yes, we are certified in house). We are just happy to be resources and help however we can
