“Hi! I’m Julie Pampuch – a storyteller at heart, and the person who gets to help tell the story of WB Engineers+Consultants every day. I’ve spent the past two decades working alongside brilliant engineers and business leaders, building relationships, shaping strategy, and helping drive growth through marketing and business development.“
2. Where do you work, and what is your role? When and how did you get started there?
“I just celebrated my 21st anniversary at WB Engineers+Consultants! I’m a Managing Principal and lead our MarComm+BD team. I originally found WB through my network, and what started as an unexpected opportunity turned into the very best kind of career — one full of growth, great people, and meaningful work.“
3. What are some factors that contribute to your success?
“Teamwork has been everything. The MarComm+BD team at WB is truly the best in the business, and we’ve built success by working together to tell the stories that drive business. Personally, I’ve hustled, stayed curious, said yes before I felt totally ready.“
4. What advice would you give to those starting their careers in Business Development?
“I think curiosity is underrated! Relationships are built one conversation at a time, so be genuinely curious about people and the stories they carry. Raise your hand for opportunities before you feel 100% prepared. And most importantly — find people you enjoy learning with and from and have fun along the way.“
5. Please share the range and type of projects you’re involved in.
“My work spans everything from marketing strategy and creative campaigns to proposals, client experience, communications, and CRM innovation. I lead a team of 12 incredibly talented business developers and marketers, and I’m also part of WB’s firmwide leadership team. Most of all, I love leading and learning alongside a team that truly is the best in the business.“
