Hi! I’m Ana B, a real estate professional based in New York City, with a strong focus on residential leasing and sales. I thrive on connecting people with spaces that feel like home and advising clients through each stage of the buying, selling, or leasing process. My approach is rooted in transparency, creativity, and deep market knowledge.

 

2. Where do you work and what is your role? When/how did you get started there? 

I currently work at Compass in residential real estate, primarily focused on properties throughout Manhattan and Brooklyn. I got my start through a boutique brokerage that emphasized hands-on mentorship and exposure to a wide range of deals early on. That foundation helped shape how I operate today—balancing market expertise with a client-first mindset.

 

3. List some factors that contribute to your success.

Consistency, genuine relationship-building, and knowing my market inside and out. I believe success in this industry comes from being proactive, responsive, and detail-oriented—while also keeping a strong sense of empathy and intuition. I also stay nimble and adapt quickly to shifts in the market or client needs, which has made a big difference.

 

4. Give advice to those starting their careers in Business Development

Start by listening more than you speak. Learn to ask thoughtful questions and really understand what your client or team needs before offering solutions. Be patient but persistent, and don’t be afraid to follow up. Most importantly, build trust—it will always go further than a quick win.

 

5. What is your passion?

I’m passionate about creating opportunities—for clients, for my team, and for new agents stepping into the world of real estate. I love the idea that with the right tools and guidance, anyone can grow their business and find their place in this fast-moving industry.

 

6. Please tell us about the range and type of projects you are involved in.

My work spans a wide range of projects, from leasing new development units to representing buyers and sellers across Manhattan and Brooklyn. I also guide new agents through deal processes, pricing strategy, and client communication. More recently, I’ve been focused on growing our team’s reach into residential sales and shaping systems that support both seasoned and up-and-coming agents.
