We are excited to welcome you to our bi-monthly BDPros “Lunch with a Business Development Leader”. This series connects motivated and success-driven BD professionals, at all levels with accomplished Business Development leaders. The small intimate group will allow the participants to connect and grow through storytelling and a Q&A session in an inclusive and relaxing atmosphere over lunch.

Guest Speaker: Michael Aisner, RXR, SVP – Head of Property Management & ESG. 

Mr. Aisner brings more than two decades of institutional real estate experience across the New York City market and Tri-State region, overseeing RXR’s 20 million square foot Class A commercial portfolio. He leads a team of 200 people, committed to state-of-the-art environments, operational best practices, capital improvements, budget optimization, and tenant satisfaction, benefitting work-place efficiencies and customer engagement for the 45,000 people occupying RXR’s commercial properties each day. 

Mr. Aisner also leads RXR’s Corporate and Portfolio ESG strategy and policy implementation, driving asset operational performance, energy efficiencies, legislative compliance, and DEI commitment across relevant colleague and service provider bases. His leadership and efforts have effectuated 17 million square feet in LEED Certification, and 23 WELL Health and Safety Certified buildings, and a five-star GRESB rating for the commercial portfolio.

Mr. Aisner was an integral leader within RXR’s industry-leading and nationally recognized COVID-19 task force, garnering media attention from the Wall Street Journal, and major television news networks for exemplary practices, site safety measures, and integration of technologies and communications services for RXR’s customers. He has also created the RXR Property Management Certificate Program, currently in its second year, serving as an integral learning, quality assurance, and management development tool for RXR’s large operations team.

Prior to joining RXR in 2010, Mr. Aisner was at Jones Lang LaSalle for 5 years. 

Over his career, Mr. Aisner has received both a BOMA award for Property Manager of the Year and a REBNY award for Portfolio Manager of the Year. He is a is a Principal member with BOMA NY, Chair of the Commercial Management Council at REBNY, and an adjunct professor taught classes at NYU, Fordham, and BOMA. 

Michael’s philanthropic efforts include the Torch Foundation’s Board of Governors for over 10 years, where he has served as the golf committee chair and helped to identify and distribute funds to both individual families in need and to organizations that lose social impact funding due to budget constraints.  Over the years he has been honored by Encourage Kids and St. Christopher’s for his charitable work.

Michael earned a BS degree from the Binghamton University School of Management, and MBA from Fordham University, and holds RPA and LEED AP Certifications.  Michael has been married to Erica Aisner for 19 years and they have three children, Mollie, Samantha and Andrew; all residing in New Rochelle.  He is a former triathlete who loves to ski, play golf, cook (eat), and his recent hobby has been home brewing kombucha.
