Anissa Sabawala is a 35+ year architecture and construction industry veteran with Corgan in Austin, Texas. A registered architect (AIA) and LEED AP BD+C professional, she practiced architecture for 15 years prior to jumping onto the “Dark Side”, as a construction Project Executive. While in construction she was responsible for overseeing national account roll-outs, of both ground up and interior fit-outs, for multiple Fortune 500 companies.

She has lived and worked out of Houston, Dallas and Manhattan and overseen project execution in over 20 states as well as sites in Puerto Rico, Mexico and Canada. While in New York she was an Account Executive with Structure Tone, Director of Business Development at Gilbane Building Company Manhattan, and a Principal of Strategic Accounts at HOK-NYC. Since 2016 she has been based in Texas and now leads business development for Corgan’s Commercial and Interiors pursuits in Austin.

Anissa’s approach to developing new business benefits from her practical experience in design, architecture, construction and many years leading project teams – and exceeding client expectations. After living far from home for many years, she now feels quite fortunate to be back in Texas, close family and friends. Recent life change: during the first few months of COVID work-from-home she bought a rowing machine  – because ‘it just seemed so cool’. Since then she has become an avid fan of the sport and rows on Town Lake in downtown Austin as often as possible.
